Who we are

Encordia Piano is operated by Voxoid Inc. This policy covers this website and the Encordia Piano application. You can reach us at privacy@encordiapiano.com.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and which page you submitted it from. That is all.

If you hold an account, we store your email address and the learning record needed to teach you: which concepts you have been taught, how you answered quizzes, which notes you played during a lesson, and your progress toward a goal song.

When you speak to the teacher, the audio is transcribed so your question can be answered. When lessons are spoken to you, the text is sent to a speech service to be synthesised.

We also collect usage analytics — which screens you opened and which actions you took — so we can tell which parts of the teaching work.

If the application ever uses your camera, frames are processed on your device to locate the keyboard. Camera images are not uploaded.

How we use it

To run the product: to teach you, to remember where you are, to answer your spoken questions, to keep your account working, and to fix and improve the app. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that make the product function, and only with what they need: hosting and database providers, an email delivery service, a payment processor when subscriptions exist, speech synthesis and speech recognition services, a language model provider for answering questions, and an analytics provider. Each acts on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account and learning data for as long as your account exists. Waitlist addresses until launch or until you ask us to remove yours. Delete your account or email us and we will remove your data.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@encordiapiano.com and we will respond. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under local law, and we will honour them.

Security

Data is held with established cloud providers, encrypted in transit, and access is limited to those who need it. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise; if a breach affects you we will tell you.

Children

Encordia Piano is intended for adults and older teenagers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where we have your email address and the change matters, tell you directly.
